I read somewhere that you can analyse the happiness of a couple by looking on their pictures together. Most portrait poses will tell you nothing since the photographer most often suggests the pose.. but I can see how you might gain some minor insight into the relationships in candid snapshots of couples in their home enviorment. Those same shots out in public might be somewhat stilted by the impression the couple tries to make on their social crowd. Even then there may be subtle clues that everything is not as it appears.
